Spenser Little, 1976, USA

Photo: Sofie Isaksson

With acuity and irony, Spenser Little comments on our time – on everything from shocking events taking place in environments we all inhabit to more everyday situations. He draws with steel wire, often using just a single wire for an entire work.

Spenser Little’s works contain both gravity and humour. He invites us to reflect on our time and the lives of those in it, so strongly marked by technology and images. The works, exhibited high and low along Köpmangatan, interact with the architecture and the street, often opening toward the horizon. For twenty years, Spenser Little has travelled the world and interpreted people’s lives and movements through site-specific works in different environments.
