Ingrid Ogenstedt

Three works of art grow out of the lawn. The lower part consists of a concrete lump which then meets moss that grows upwards similar to a shape like a Santa's hat.

Three sculptures shaped of grass, earth, stone, metal and concrete that can grow, breathe, mutate and change over time. The shapes stretch, grow, shoot up out of the ground and take off. A seed, a tuber or a plant possesses potency and power. Ogenstedt uses a biological idiom and nature’s recognizable materials and structures which, through magnification, suddenly seem foreign and exotic. The park is itself a constructed reality where imagination can be difficult to distinguish from reality. Nature is never still, never quiet. The transformation is constant and a movement that emphasizes time.
